We will explain how to configure WhatsApp alerts in Fitbit Versa 2 , so that you can receive notifications from the messaging application on the watch. This is a Fitbit Versa feature that helps you choose which messaging app to pair with your watch. By default, what will reach you are SMS.
This change will be made from the Fitbit application on your mobile, in a process of very few steps. In addition, we will also briefly tell you how to customize the responses you want to send for those times when you do not have time or dictate a response to the clock.
Set up WhatsApp notifications on Fitbit
The first thing you have to do is open the Fitbit application where you have linked the watch on your mobile. Once there, click on the bust button in the upper left corner to open the options screen for your account.
When the Account screen opens , you have to click on the device in which you want to configure WhatsApp , in this case the Fitbit Versa 2.
You will enter the device configuration screen, where you can make changes to your watch from your mobile. There are a large number of options, and what you should do is click on the Notifications option that you will find in the General section .
To configure WhatsApp as your default messaging application, what you have to do is click on the Text messages option that will appear at the top of everything within the Notifications configuration .
If you tapped on Text Messages , now select WhatsApp from the list and go back. That’s it, the application will have become the main one when it comes to receiving text messages, and you can reply to them with the Voice responses function that is activated by default in the notification options.
If you want to have a series of preconfigured responses that you can send quickly when you receive a message on WhatsApp, go back to the notification settings. There, under the Voice responses option that you need to have activated to dictate the responses, click on the Quick responses option .
Now, tap on WhatsApp to configure their quick responses, and you will enter a template in which you can write five personalized quick responses that will appear when a message arrives. You can also choose a series of emojis that you usually use to use as a quick response, for which you will have to go to the corresponding tab.
